Anxiety Coaching

Everyone experiences anxiety and fear. In most cases, people are able to adapt to this anxiety and use it to their advantage as it is often the result of the body and mind warning of something that needs attention. Some of us, however, go through anxiety that isn't always rationale or in interferes with our ability to function. It can be dehabiliting and, often, as it gets worse, people will do anything to avoid those intense feelings.

We work with clients to help them adapt to, manage and eventually elivate anxiety. Our approach is routed in the notion of managing phisological reactions, managing cognitive distorations, changing behaviors and exposing people to their fears in the name of decreasing this type of unhelpful anxiety while perserving the type that can be benefical. This all happens in a supportive and empathic coaching environment. Research has shown that coaching and psychiatry are effective treatments for anxiety.

Our blog offers an examination of the differences between anxiety and stress, as well as the differences between generalized anxiety and other anxiety disorders. Our coaching model works with those with obsessive compulsive disorder, generalized anxiety, panic disorder, seperation anxiety, adjustment disorders, postraumatic stress disorder, agoraphobia and other specific phobias. It also works with symptoms specific to anxiety disorders, such as hoarding. It can also be helpful to those with fears of abandonment, mood-related anxiety and other similar situations.
